AFL playing and commentary great Rex Hunt has been caught on camera appearing to wield a garden fork in a disturbing road rage incident in Victoria.

Nine News reported Hunt was involved in a “minor bingle” in Beaumaris in Melbourne’s south-east which turned violent.

After the incident on Tuesday morning, both vehicles travelled in the same direction and the drivers both got out of their cars.

The other male driver appeared to throw a punch at Hunt as the driver behind the incident, filming on a dashboard camera, called for the pair to leave.

Hunt then walked back to his car and retrieved a garden fork with which witnesses alleged he lunged at the other driver.

“You wanna die? You wanna die? Do you want to die?” Hunt can be heard saying.

After things cooled down Hunt reportedly did several laps of the block where the incident occurred.

The other man was said to have “run after Rex in an aggressive manner” and then was seen “throwing punches at trees”, according to the Nine reporter.

“His wife was there, and his dog was at the back, and he was just threatening the guy,” witness Byron Hughes told Nine News.

“I told my mate just back off, go away. His wife’s just trying to tell him to go back in the car.

“Losing his s**t.”

No official police report was made.

Hunt was condemned earlier this month after a bizarre social media rant claiming AFLW superstar Daisy Pearce only has a commentary job due to her gender.
