Justin Hodges has again called out Paul Gallen to fight him in a State of Origin-style boxing clash, following his latest victory.

The former NRL defeated podcaster and influencer Jordan Simi on Wednesday night to claim the fifth win of his boxing career.

The four-round heavyweight clash went the distance but neither boxer landed a telling blow in what was an underwhelming fight.

Hodges was greeted by boos and chants of “New South Wales” from the crowd at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion but had the last laugh as he claimed victory via unanimous decision.

The two-time premiership player has made no secret he would like to fight Gallen before hanging up the boxing gloves for good.

Gallen is a class above and would easily account for Hodges, but that didn’t stop the former Bronco calling him out after defeating Simi.

“I’ve got one more fight left,” Hodges said in the ring after the fight.

“Myself agreed to it, the girls agreed to it. He (Gallen) made the bet whichever team won Origin — Queensland kicked their a*** so he’s got to come up to Queensland.”

Hodges even took a sly dig at Gallen, saying he would relish taking a swing at the Cronulla Sharks legend’s “big head”.

“He might have a lot more experience than me but I’ll go out and throw as many right hands as I can,” he said.

“I’ve only got to get him once. He’s got a pretty big head, I can hopefully catch it.”

As for Simi, the social media personality may not have done enough to win, but he didn’t disgrace himself.

He had been hoping a victory would be enough to win back his ex-girlfriend, influencer Sammy Robinson, who was in attendance and congratulated Simi on his efforts backstage.
