Daniel Ricciardo’s rivalry with McLaren teammate Lando Norris reached comical levels ahead of the British GP.

The Aussie and the Brit were asked to race on the popular childhood toys and after an early tangle Ricciardo charged to a big lead.
It prompted Norris to abandon the rules. He picked up his happy hopper and ran towards the finish line – and that’s where it turned comical.
Ricciardo stood and swing his happy hopper in to Norris’ face, connecting unexpectedly well and requiring a quick apology.
“He’s OK,” Ricciardo tweeted later.
Apologies have been common place at the fourth-ranked outfit after team boss Andreas Seidl said sorry to both drivers after Ricciardo finished 11th and Norris 15th at the recent Canada GP.
“We didn’t give Lando or Daniel the package they deserved today, so we have to offer them an apology,” McLaren boss Andreas Seidl said.
“We have to use this as an opportunity to learn, and come back stronger in two weeks for our home race at Silverstone.”
