The Chicago Bulls are sweating on the health of DeMar DeRozan after the star wing went down against the Boston Celtics with a quad injury.
DeRozan suffered the injury in the third quarter after minor contact with Al Horford, before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
The 33-year-old is enjoying another productive season in Chicago, averaging 26.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.

What is DeMar DeRozan’s injury?
On Monday, Jan. 9, DeRozan exited the game against the Celtics with a right quadriceps strain and did not return.
He suffered the injury in the third quarter, collapsing to the floor as he attempted to drive past Celtics big man Al Horford in the paint. His right foot clipped the inside of Horford’s left foot before falling to the floor.

He exited the game with 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists on 6-of-9 from the field.
How long will DeMar DeRozan out?
It’s unclear if DeRozan will miss any games at this stage, with the Bulls star set to undergo treatment on the injury.
In good news for the Bulls, DeRozan told reporters postgame that it ‘felt fine’ when he got back to the locker room.
“It kind of contracted a little bit more and made it a little more irritated,” he said. “I felt like I couldn’t move like I wanted so I just didn’t want to limit myself and slow the team down in any way.”
DeRozan has played through right quad discomfort for about eight games.

He has been incredibly durable this season, appearing in all 41 of the Bulls games in 2022-23 so far.
The Bulls play two of their next three games at home before jetting off to Paris, France to face the Detroit Pistons.
