Paige Spiranac has revealed that she found a lump on her breast before Christmas.
The golf influencer took to Instagram to update fans on her situation on Wednesday morning (AEDT).
The 29-year-old admitted she’s largely disappeared from social media in recent weeks due to the health scare.
She said the discovery was made during a routine check-up, The Sun reports.
On her Instagram story, she wrote to her 3.7million followers: “Sorry for not being as active lately on social media.
“I went on vacation then had to deal with my heath.
“During an annual check up, they found a lump on my breast.
“I recently got a biopsy done.
“It came back negative which I’m so grateful for!”
The “Playing A Round” podcast host then encouraged fans to schedule their check-ups and to be mindful of the battles people may be struggling with out of public view.
“You never know what people are going through behind closed doors so extending kindness is so important,” Spiranac continued.
“I want to thank you guys for always sending so much love and support my way.”
Normally a regular Insta poster, Spiranac has uploaded only one snap since December 8.
Her only post in that period was on Christmas Eve, with a photo showing her posing while wearing a sultry Santa dress.
Spiranac has long been open with fans about the happenings in her life. And it’s because of the trust built over the years that Spiranac believes both parties are comfortable being vulnerable with one another.
“I’ve built so much trust with my followers that they feel really comfortable opening up to me and it’s really been a positive community,” Spiranac told The Post in September.
“I’m happy that I have them, and I think, hopefully, that they’re happy that they have someone they can talk to as well.”
Earlier this month, Spiranac revealed in a Q&A on Instagram that 2023 has been her “best year yet,” despite dealing with impostor syndrome and self-confidence issues.
