Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s inner circle hopes the couple isn’t “past the point of no return” following reports of marital troubles.

Friends of Brady, 45, and Bündchen, 42, “are upset” at the Buccaneers quarterback “for going back on his word and coming out of retirement”, according to Us Weekly.

“They hate the way Tom is refusing to bend for Gisele,” an insider said, as reported by The New York Post.

Allegations of discord between Brady and Bündchen first surfaced in September, when Page Six exclusively reported that the pair had engaged in heated arguments over his NFL return.

A source later stated, however, that their issues have “nothing to do with his decision to return to the NFL,” noting the claims are “sexist.”

The problems are not due to his decision to play football again — sometimes things are complicated,” the source said.

Friends of the couple — who have been married since 2009 — are hoping the two can find a way forward together.

“This was really the first big issue they’ve had in their marriage. Friends are hoping they aren’t past the point of no return,” the Us Weekly insider said.

Brady and Bündchen recently hired divorce lawyers.

Page Six exclusively reported last week that both Bündchen and Brady, 45, have hired divorce lawyers as their 13-year marriage falls apart.

The Brazilian supermodel was also photographed outside legal offices last week, without her wedding ring.

“I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is,” a source previously told Page Six.

Bündchen, who shares son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9, with Brady, turned heads on social media this week when she reacted to a post from Jay Shetty, an author and former Hindu monk, that centred on relationships.

“You can’t be in a committed relationship with someone who is inconsistent with you. Read that again,” the post read, to which the “Lessons” scribe replied with a prayer hands emoji.

Brady, who also co-parents son Jack, 15, with his ex, “Blue Bloods” actor Bridget Moynahan, is entrenched in his 23rd NFL season and his third with the Buccaneers.

The 3-2 Buccaneers will travel to Pittsburgh this week to face the 1-4 Steelers.

Brady and Bündchen have been living separately,

The quarterback and his wife tied the knot in February 2009.
