Signs have been seen at Wimbledon stating “sex parties will not be tolerated” with disgruntled locals threatening police action.
Local residents have warned frisky tennis fans against having sex in public outside the famous Wimbledon tennis courts.
Residents in the wealthy surrounding streets are sick and tired of sex and drugs parties occurring during the iconic two-week grand slam at the All England Tennis club in London.
Local residents have campaigned seemingly every year for stricter control on tennis fans entering and leaving the venue — and it has resulted in tournament officials announcing tighter and tighter restrictions on what fans are allowed to do while waiting in the famous Wimbledon ticket queue where fans sometimes camp for two days to get the best seats in the house.

This year Wimbledon released a 19-page document titled ‘A Guide to Queuing’ where patrons have been told loud music, excessive alcohol consumption and anti-social behaviour “will not be tolerated”.
As part of the efforts to appease residents, the club tells fans in the document: “We would request that everyone in The Queue respects both Wimbledon Park and local residents.
“Anti-social or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and will result in the confiscation of your Queue Card and removal from The Queue.
“Confiscation of a Queue Card by the Stewards, Security officers or the Police constitutes a refusal of entry to The Championships’ Grounds.”
Despite all those measures, the tournament has had no success in stamping out the annual tradition of fans getting well acquainted with each other in the surrounding woodland areas outside of the SW19 tournament precinct.
Local residents have now taken it upon themselves to police fans’ sexual adventures with posters being posted around some streets stating “sex parties will not be tolerated”.
The Daily Star first obtained a photo of one sign which a resident had pinned up on a tree.
“Game Sex and Match NO THANKS,” the sign says.
“Visiting tennis fans please respect our park and woodland.
“Anti-social behaviour such as drugs, booze and sex parties will not be tolerated.
“Police patrol this area regularly and you have been warned. Thanks for your consideration. Enjoy the tennis!”
One concerned resident told the Star: “In the summer all sorts goes on in the woods.
“But during Wimbledon fortnight, especially if the weather gets hot, people get carried away and pop into the woods.
“I’ve seen couples having sex, drugs parties, everything really.
“With so many fans camping in the park it turns into a big party after dark and people just get carried away especially if they’ve been knocking back the Pimms all day.
“We’ve put notices up in the past, but they just get ripped down.
“Hopefully the police will step up their patrols this year and kick out anyone they catch wanting a love match.”
A similar note was posted in 2019, according to The Sun.
“Dear tennis fans and visitors to our beautiful park in Wimbledon,” the sign said.
“Please respect our area and woodland over the next two weeks.
“We politely ask No BBQs, no littering, no sex and drug parties in the woods.
“The police will be patrolling this area and car park because of previous anti-social behaviour during Wimbledon fortnight so you have been warned.”
